BEFORE BREAST REDUCTION SURGERY
During the pre-operative examination with the surgeon, the patient reports her expectations from the surgery, what kind of breast structure she wants to have, and her views on the size, and the important points that are decided. Afterward, your surgeon gives information about where and how the nipple point will be located. Blood tests required for your surgery, breast ultrasound in patients under the age of 40, and mammography in patients over the age of 40 are requested to scan the existing breast structure before surgery.
IMPORTANT DETERMINATIONS AFTER BREAST REDUCTION SURGERY
For three weeks following breast reduction surgery, it’s advised to wear a bra that’s been carefully designed. A drain can be inserted at the same time to stop blood from collecting. Some patients may experience little pain following their plastic surgery procedure, which is manageable with medicines. But after four days, all discomfort will be gone. Due to the operation, you might need to stay in the hospital for 1-2 days. It can require 4-5 days to resume daily activities. Heavy exercise is advised to be avoided for four weeks following surgery. Over time, the locations where sensation has been lost will regain it.
